General Contractor and Glass company, in charge of renovating a building on the Greenhill school campus in Carrollton, Texas.  Contacted Architectural Glass Solutions for help with decorative film options for offices and meeting areas within the school for all the new glass being installed.  Requesting something with contemporary look but with privacy but not closing off all of the view.  Product they chose was made by 3M , film called Illumina, fade gradient film installed on interior of the glass.

Here are the key benefits of applying decorative window film:

  • Enhanced Privacy Without Blocking Light — Many designs (especially frosted or patterned ones) obscure direct visibility from outside while still allowing plenty of natural daylight to enter. This is ideal for bathrooms, offices, front doors, or street-facing windows where you want seclusion without making rooms feel dark or closed off.
  • Stylish Aesthetic Upgrade and Customization — It transforms plain glass into a focal point with elegant or modern patterns that complement your interior design. It mimics expensive etched, sandblasted, or frosted glass at a fraction of the cost, and offers endless variety to match any décor theme.
  • Easy, Affordable, and Reversible Installation — Unlike replacing or etching glass, film is a low-cost retrofit. Professional or DIY application is straightforward, and many types can be removed or replaced     without damaging the underlying glass—perfect for renters or those who like to update their look periodically.
  • Low Maintenance — Once applied, the smooth surface is often easier to clean than textured etched glass, and it resists wear when properly installed on the interior side. For consultation on ideas and designs of designer / decorative window film options for your office, contact Joe Baker at Architectural Glass Solutions.
