A lot of companies these days are trying to enhance the aesthetic appeal of their locations and facilities with different kinds of designs that are used in conjunction with the glass on their doors and windows. The semi transparent look is very popular and helps businesses achieve an open space while also providing a confidential space for privacy concerns of the customer or client. Architectural Glass Solutions recently took a job in Dallas for one of our favorite clients, ArchPoint Implant Dentistry. The company wanted their glass improved in several areas of the dental clinic.
The request
ArchPoint Implant Dentistry had several caveats to the request. They had a very specific job in mind and we were glad to patiently listen to their needs. They initially contacted us and requested a contemporary feel and look for their main glass area entryway, as well as an observatory and some operating rooms within the clinic. This all-glass entry area was the first point of interest for our company since it is the first thing that customers see. There are also other areas of framed glass inside, such as the observatory and the operating rooms, which needed some improvement in the design on the glass. To meet their particular request after this initial evaluation, we knew the work involved and we also knew which kind of product that we would be using for ArchPoint Implant Dentistry. We would use a frost film with a cut out design for the glass structures.
The frost film part
Frost film with cut out designs are a unique product and they are becoming very popular all over the country for all different kinds of businesses, especially businesses with waiting rooms and other areas where privacy can be a concern and where comfort is a point of focus. This is a dilemma. Of course you want your space to feel open and welcoming, but you also want to respect the confidentiality of a patient, client or customer. The kinds of businesses that use frost film include real estate, attorneys, dentists, orthodontists, hospitals and other businesses with critical data or companies that want to provide an elegant look but have sensitive information to contend with. The frost film product is the perfect product for this type of scenario. It gives you the best of both worlds and the kind of designs can be shapes that are consistent with architectural, environmental or company elements.
They may reflect the mission, services or philosophy of your business or they may blend in with the existing shapes of the space itself. ArchPoint Implant Dentistry agreed that this was probably the best solution for their particular project. The frost over the glass provides a great balance.
Installing the frost film
Our company sat down for quite a while and discussed this project with ArchPoint Implant Dentistry so that we knew to get every detail right. It is very important to take these details very seriously because mistakes can be very detrimental to a project. Not only will it cost us money but it will also set back the project schedule, which will disrupt, or effect in some way, the work that the dental office already has going on with the inflow and outflow of patient traffic. The Dallas dental clinic made sure to explain all of the nuances they were looking for in the entryway, the operating rooms and the observatory area, which all contained framed glass structures. We proceeded with getting the measurements and the materials quickly so we could get the project rolling smoothly from the start. The overall design choice was an ArchPoint Implant Dental creation because they sent us the pictures that were used in the frost film design on the glass. Once we receive those and put the images together, we quickly installed the frost film and cut everything onto the glass.
