Owner of Venus Salon Spa contacted us with an issue of excessive heat and glare from the sun. The suite has a large glass exposure facing east and south, 2 directions that get direct sun exposure.
The suite had 2″ blinds through out the space, but blinds do not keep out heat like the owner thought. Blinds can stop the direct heat from shining thru but does not reflect the heat in order to cool the space.
Commercial solar film will compliment window blinds by reflecting the heat from passing thru the glass. Window blinds, when closed, will help keep most of the internal energy, cold air or heat, from escaping out of the windows via conduction.
